A Shinto priest is a "mediator" between gods and people

Sadaharu Iguchi, Chief priest of Miyazaki Shrine, was working as an engineer after graduating from university.

However, after helping his father, he started working as a priest and has been doing so ever since.

He has been distributing videos on video-sharing sites and using drones for PR activities...
At first glance, it seems to be a unique and individualistic way of being a Shinto priest. 

But what Mr. Iguchi is doing is exactly the same as he has been doing since ancient times.
He posts videos and uses drones for publicity because he wants as many people as possible to know about the shrine and Shinto.

"Connecting people with God.”
This is the essence of what he does.

Mr.Iguchi said, "I would like this Miyazaki Shrine to become a part of the community.
I want the local people to work together to make this shrine a part of the community and have many relationships with the local people in the future.”

In the past, he was active in the community by organizing campfires at events.

Miyazaki Shrine is a shrine with a lot of nature and a large precinct.
"I want it to be a playground for children", Mr. Iguchi said this with gentle smile.
