Ms. Atsuyo Tano is a vegetable chef and a member of the regional development cooperation team in Toyosaka.

Her decision to pursue a career in cooking came about when she fell ill while working at a company.

When thinking about what she could do for her colleagues who worried her, she realized that "the only thing I can do now is cook".
Since then, started cooking at her colleagues' homes and serving lunch in the company kitchen.

After retiring from the company, she became interested in vegetables as a result of the greening research studying at university, and visited farmers all over Japan in search of answers to properly inform people about agriculture and vegetables.

Through this trip, Ms. Tanomi learned that each farmer puts a lot of thought into growing vegetables and realized that "the vegetables you saw in the supermarket were very way of life of the farmer who grew them."

In order to convey the answers found in this journey, Ms. Tanomi decided to push forward into the world of vegetable chefs. She has researched countless things, and continues to research and experiment on how to make delicious dishes using only vegetables.

Originally from Tochigi, she came to live in Toyosaka because of Centre Marche that encountered during travel.

Initially, involved in the Cente Marche from Hiroshima City, but she realized that "nothing will come of it unless I live in the area and get close to the people of the area," and moved to Toyosaka.
After becoming a member of the regional revitalization cooperation team in Toyosaka, she started "Vegetable Labo" as a "research class on how to eat the many delicious vegetables in Toyosaka.

I am pursuing the idea of "doing what I love together with others" to the fullest.

She wishes to provide stores with recipes and know-how that combine the food culture of Toyosaka and vegetables, so that people can enjoy Hiroshima.

Ms. Tanomi will continue to move forward with vegetables.
