Yoshimasa Yamada is working to create a community where people, goods, money, and information can circulate.

He says, "It's good to do whatever I want at wherever I want”.
This is his idea behind aim for circulation within the region.

"What I create is the framework," he says.
He creates it so that people with a love for their hometown live happily in the region, while doing what they want to do.
One of these is wool project in Toyosaka Town.

In Toyosaka Town, there are sheep that eat grass to protect rural landscape.
Mr. Yamada was asked by the local people who were worried about waste of wool generated from sheep shearing.

Mr. Yamada carefully processed the wool by hand and sold it as a specialty product of Toyosaka Town.

He then called on local people, including elderly people who like to work by hand, to take charge of the production.

In this way, a system is created in which elderly people who like to do manual labor enjoy working and local community can earn money by developing special products.

Raising sheep is expensive, but this recycling system will keep the rural landscape of Toyosaka alive in the future.

Mr. Yamada travels all over Japan, not only to Toyosaka, but also to other areas where he is called upon. In the midst of all this, Mr. Yamada is taking in many ideas and making connections. His continuous activities for the creation of a good community make him a "seeker of creating community.”
